Styrene (C8H8) is an important organic chemical material with the chemical formula C8H8, containing a benzene ring and a vinyl group in its structure, which is a colorless and transparent liquid with an aromatic odor at room temperature.12 Styrene is insoluble in water but soluble in most organic solvents such as ethanol, It is insoluble in water, but soluble in most organic solvents such as ethanol, ether, etc.13 Its freezing point is -30.6ºC and boiling point is 145ºC. Physical and Chemical Properties Styrene is a colorless and transparent liquid at room temperature with a special sweet smell, but the smell becomes unpleasant when the concentration is too high.4 Its melting point is about -30.6°C, boiling point is about 145.2°C, relative density is 0.9060 (20/4°C), insoluble in water, but soluble in most organic solvents, such as ethanol and ether.
