Adipic acid is mainly used as a raw material for nylon 66 and engineering plastics, but also used in the production of various ester products, but also used as a raw material for polyurethane elastomers, various food and beverage acidifiers, its effect is sometimes better than citric acid and tartaric acid.
Adipic acid is also used in medicine, yeast purification, pesticides, adhesives, synthetic leather, synthetic dyes and fragrances.
