1-propanol (Propan-1-ol), also known as n-propanol, is an alcoholic organic compound with three carbon atoms. The simple chemical formula is C3H7OH. It is isomer with methyl ethyl ether and 2-propyl alcohol (isopropyl alcohol). The molecular formula is CH3CH2CH2OH, and it is called prop-1-alcohol according to the IUPAC nomenclature. It is a by-product of the synthesis of methanol from carbon monoxide and hydrogen. Its key line type is. It is one of the primary alcohols. Product Application
1. N-propanol is commonly used for organic synthesis. N-propanol can be used for nitro spray paint, cosmetics, dental detergents, pesticides, fungicides, inks, plastics, antifreeze synthesis and intermediates, such as synthetic propyl acetate, which can be used for paint solvents and printing inks. Various esters synthesized by n-propanol can also be used in food additives, plasticizers, spices (ingredients used to prepare spices shall not exceed the maximum allowable use and maximum allowable residual amount in GB 2760) and many other aspects; [10]
2. N-propanol is used in the pharmaceutical industry to produce prosulfa, sodium valproate, erythromycin, Epilepsy, adhesive hemostatic agent BCA, propylthiamine, dipropyl 2, 5-pyridinium dicarboxylate, n-propylamine, etc.;
3. N-propanol derivatives, especially din-propylamine, have many applications in the production of pesticides, such as the production of pesticides sulfamidazone, isopropanoline, Fenoxamine, sulfamoline, Fluralin, etc.
